Jake Shimabukuro, ukulele

Program to be announced.

Compared to musical icons like Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix, world renowned ukulele artist and performer Jake Shimabukuro has topped the World Billboard charts and sold out the Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center, Sydney Opera House, Playboy Jazz Festival, SXSW, Bonaroo, and even performed for the Queen.

Jake travels the globe performing pop, jazz, and funk for his fans—playing everything from traditional Hawaiian tunes to covers of popular hits like George Harrison’s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” and Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”—and has collaborated with artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Jimmy Buffett, Bette Midler, Jack Johnson, Cyndi Lauper, Ziggy Marley and many more.

Growing up in Hawaii, Jake first picked up a ukulele at the age of 4, a moment that changed his destiny and gave music fans the most innovative ukulele player in the history of the instrument.
