In an exclusive LA/OC engagement by one of the world’s greatest orchestras, the New York Philharmonic performs works by two of the most important and representative composers of the Romantic era: Brahms and Schumann.

Music Director Alan Gilbert conducts Brahms’ turbulent Tragic Overture and the lyrical Symphony No. 2 in D major, along with Schumann’s late Cello Concerto with Philharmonic principal and renowned cellist Carter Brey as soloist.
