About the Artists
Blessed with “poetic and sensitive pianism” (Washington Post) and a “wondrous sense of color” (San Francisco Classical Voice), pianist Joyce Yang captivates audiences with her virtuosity, lyricism, and interpretive sensitivity. A Van Cliburn International Piano Competition silver medalist and Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient, Yang showcases her colorful musical personality in solo recitals and collaborations with the world’s top orchestras and chamber musicians.

Praised for his “gorgeous tone” (New York Times), Augustin Hadelich is among today’s top young violinists. Named Musical America’s 2018 Instrumentalist of the Year, he was also the winner of a 2016 Grammy Award—“Best Classical Instrumental Solo” —for his recording of Dutilleux’s Violin Concerto, L’Arbre des songes, with the Seattle Symphony. He has garnered an impressive list of honors, including the Gold Medal at the 2006 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, an Avery Fisher Career Grant, a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship in the UK, Lincoln Center’s Martin E.
